THE TURNAWAY PLAY Join us at The Whaling Church for The Turnaway Play, 7:30 PM on July 16th, 2026, At The Old Whaling Church in Edgartown.

Based on the groundbreaking Turnaway Study done by Dr Diana Greene Foster, at the University of California, San Francisco. The Turnaway Play features real-life stories of women who were denied abortions across the United States.

We hope this play will help activate our community to expand and protect reproductive rights. Science tells a tale, and it’s time to listen.

The play is presented in partnership with MV Sexual Wellness, Reproductive Equity Now, and Island Theater Workshop.
