We the undersigned, respectfully request Martha’s Vineyard Hospital offer a full spectrum of women’s health services by providing surgical abortions on the island. Currently, women are forced to bear an undue burden of having to go to Boston to receive this care. Martha’s Vineyard Hospital offers dilation and curettage services and therefore has the capability to offer surgical abortions on island.

Martha’s Vineyard Sexual Wellness remains willing to work with the hospital to overcome barriers of funding and staffing if any exist. We continue to be open to meeting with you and the Obstetrics and Gynecology team to expedite offering surgical abortion services on the island.
